It wasn’t until the first iteration of Chevy’s Corvette ZR1 that the brand even scratched the surface of the supercar realm. Now, however, with the announcement of the updated 2019 version of the very same car, they’ve definitely solidified their place amongst some of the best high-end sports car manufacturers out there.

With sleek looks that absolutely do the car’s performance justice, the ZR1 features a supercharged small block 6.2-liter V8 engine beneath the hood – which pumps out an impressive 755 horsepower and a gut-wrenching 715 foot-pounds of torque – matched to the brand’s new dual fuel injection system. And to make sure you can keep this beast under control, it’s also equipped with Brembo ceramic brakes. Other highlights include the optional massive carbon fiber rear wing, a race car-style underwing for increased downforce, a carbon fiber insert on the hood, and so much more. You can expect to hear more from the brand, like pricing and availability, in the coming months.
