2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison

When Chevrolet’s Colorado ZR2 pickup truck first dropped, people called it a Raptor-killer. And, while there’s a lot of reason to believe that claim to be correct, there was still plenty of room to argue against it. Now, however, the brand has partnered with American Expedition Vehicles to produce a special edition, the ZR2 Bison, to quash any remaining doubts.

This 4×4 truck is actually Chevy’s first jaunt alongside AEV, but — from the looks of this beast — they seem to be getting along just fine. On top of the ZR2’s already impressive list of features, this burlier edition includes a winch-ready stamped steel front bumper and a matching one in the rear, five high-strength boron-steel skid plates covering the oil pan, fuel tank, transfer case and both differentials, specially-designed aluminum wheels, and more. There wasn’t much about the original truck that needed improving but this badass special addition certainly addressed all that and more. It will be available in 2019, though a price has yet to be announced.
