On the heels of their release of the BMW M2 Competition, another beast has been let out of the cages at Bavarian Motor Works. The wizards of Munich have conjured another monster, as the 2019 BMW M5 Competition has finally been unleashed.

We all know that Germans love their heavy metal, and the M5 Competition is no exception. At 4,300 pounds, the M5 is a scale-tipper. But the at this center of this monster of the Motorsport series carries the load, and more. The M5 Competition is stoked by a 4.4L V8 TwinPower engine that generates 617 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, that will take it from 0 – 60 in 3.1 seconds. An 8-speed M Steptronic transmission offers both manual and automatic capabilities. Specialty M Sport exhaust pipes, wrought of black chrome, and engine mode selections that control sound output ensure that the monstrous M5 roars with subdued ferocity. It stalks with deliberateness, thanks to special suspension with added higher spring rates for precision handling. This bestial beamer is as powerful and robust as we imagined.
