2019 Audi E-Tron Sportback Concept

In case it isn’t abundantly clear already, the next wave of widely manufactured vehicles will be powered entirely by electricity. And the time at which the roads are crowded with such vehicles is looming. That being said, they’re not all great. But that doesn’t appear to be the case with Audi’s upcoming E-Tron Sportback SUV.

Though it’s still in the conceptual stages, this vehicle is set to be released for sale in 2019. In fact, the brand has already released a few of the expected performance specs. It will be powered by three electric motors – giving it power to all four of its wheels – which will attach to a low-mounted lithium-ion battery beneath the passenger compartment, giving the vehicle a rather low center of gravity. It is also said to do 0-62 in just 4.5 seconds and will have a range in excess of 310 miles per charge. Those figures paired with a whole host of other tech promise to make this, at the very least, a very interesting vehicle to look forward to in the coming years.
