Another day, another step toward electric power snuffing out fossil fuels for good. This time, however, it comes on the shoulders of some pretty big news: Audi has just unveiled their very first all-electric vehicle, an SUV called the e-Tron Quattro.

As beautiful as you’d expect any of their offerings to be, the e-Tron Quattro has clean styling lines both inside and out — including premium leather upholstery, a high-tech dashboard and touchscreen control center, and side-view cameras in place of standard mirrors (which feed to twin OLED screens inside the cabin). Obviously, however, the biggest change can be found under the hood. The new plug-in power plant is pretty spectacular, giving this SUV a 0-60 time of just 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 124 mph. It will also do up to an impressive 249 miles per charge (though that figure could change for the U.S. market), second only to the likes of Tesla. With reservations open now, pricing starts at $74,800.

Purchase: $74,800
