Everyday Carry: Citron Vert

First grown domestically on a large-scale in the Middle East — more specifically, the Persian Empire — limes have a long and storied history that ties directly into the expansion of human civilization. In fact, limes were a regular allowance to British sailors during the Age of Exploration, helping to prevent the onset of scurvy. That’s actually from where the slang term, “limey,” comes. Today, limes are mostly associated with Indian, Middle Eastern, and Latin American cuisine, as well as beer and cocktails. They also offer quite a few health benefits, including improving digestive health, regulating sugar absorption in diabetics, and preventing and aiding in the fight against diseases (like gout, heart disease, and cholera). Furthermore (and perhaps most importantly for our purposes), they boast a bright green colorway that, when imbued into your everyday carry, can add a much-needed pop of color to an otherwise drab EDC loadout. It’s with this in mind that we assembled this week’s pocket dump.

Flowfold Card Holder Wallet

Made with actual recycled sailcloth, this minimalist front pocket wallet is insanely thin (measuring up with about the same depth as a credit card or two), supremely resilient (it’s waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and nearly impossible to tear), and light enough that it actually floats on water. It also holds a handful of cards and cash, is made in the USA, and has a lifetime warranty.
