Formerly Confederate Motorcycles, the recently rebranded Curtiss Motorcycles has leaned hard into their new ethos, unveiling a trio of beautifully futuristic motorcycle concepts that embrace more eco-friendly battery-fed power plants. One of them, however, has just gotten a bit closer to reality, thanks to the release of new production-ready images. Allow us to introduce you to the 2020 Curtiss Hera all-electric motorcycle.

Overall, a lot of the styling cues from the original concept (inspired by Glenn Curtiss’ land speed record-breaking 1907 bike) made it into the final production version of the bike, though there are notable differences. For instance, while the wheelbase looks to be roughly the same length, the “V8” battery pack and onboard E-twin motor beneath the seat look to be a bit smaller and more streamlined. Similarly, the swingarm looks significantly cleaned up, which serves to make the bike look sleeker and to better protect the bits hidden behind it. There are also a number of other slight alterations including a new bench-style seat, cutouts in the front forks, and even longer fenders. Sadly, performance specs are still nowhere to be found. However, if history is any indication, this Curtiss bike will be plenty impressive on the road. A release date and pricing have yet to be announced.
