Motorcycle manufacturers are always pushing the envelope with their latest offerings and this year’s market is ripe with an insane number of upgrades to prominent flagship bikes. Triumph has already released a plethora of interesting news on their bolstered 2019 lineup, and now, they’ve unveiled a dramatic upgrade to one of their most famous models with the 2019 Speed Twin.

The Speed Twin is an interesting departure from their original lineup, albeit minimal — it pulls inspiration from the already established Bonneville and Street Twin models but cherrypicks the most prominent design aspects from the two for the new, racier silhouette. The updated 1,200cc Bonneville parallel-twin engine is tuned to operate in the same vein as a Thruxton racer and boasts consistently high power across the entire rev range, topping out at a respectable 97PS at 6,750 rpm. At 98 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque, the sleek roadster handles surprisingly well and includes ABS and traction control, high spec Brembo brakes and discs, and over 80 custom Speed Twin accessories that make the motorcycle a truly unique investment. Pricing has yet to be announced.
