It’s safe to say that Ernest Emerson, owner and chief designer of Emerson Knives, knows a thing or two about crafting a high-quality blade. So when we heard he was pairing up with Zero Tolerance — a superb knife-making brand in their own right — for something unlike they’ve ever worked on together before, we were more than a little excited. And, let us tell you, the 0640 folding knife does not disappoint.

Let’s start with the most obvious features: the gorgeous handle you see here, frame lock and all, is crafted from a combination of high-grade titanium with an inlay made up of a green carbon fiber composite. It’s mated to a very impressive CPM 20CV steel blade measuring up at 3.75 inches in length and featuring Emerson’s signature ambidextrous thumb disk for manual deployment. With a total length of 8.5 inches and a 4.4-ounce weight, this USA-made everyday carry knife is as beautiful as it is durable, tough, and altogether hardcore. It can be yours for $310.

Purchase: $310
