The Ferrari F40 was one of the most important supercars in the history of automotive manufacturing, and its limited run from 1987 to 1992 left many enthusiasts with an insatiable thirst for a successor. Digital designer and concept artist Samir Sadikhov has been hard at work for quite a while to make this a reality, and his most recent project is a perfect representation of style, class, and mastery.

The original F40 was a sleek, 471-horsepower machine that utilized a famous mid-engine design. Sadikhov’s modern revival of the car features the same design philosophy with the blocky rectangular wing, side intakes, and vertically oriented triple exhaust — all of which were original to the 1987 supercar. The interior has also been completely retooled, blending modern luxury with a hint of retro styling through the use of carbon fiber composite paneling, premium leather upholstery, racing wheel steering apparatus, quartered dash assembly, and up-to-date interfacing technologies throughout the cabin. We hope the engineers at Ferrari take note and get moving on the next F40.
