The DJI brand has consistently maintained their foothold at the forefront of drone, gimbal, and camera technology over the past decade, and once again, they’re attempting to tread new water with a surprising piece of gear. Their most recent unveiling, the DJI Osmo Pocket Camera, is a direct competitor to the host of individual gimbal and stabilization systems we’ve seen this year.

The three-axis mechanical gimbal is no stranger to the media world — its big brother, the DJI Osmo, has been a favorite among prosumers and aspiring video creators for years. The new pocket-size iteration promises the same performance as its full-sized counterpart but in a much smaller package. It utilizes 4K in-camera shooting at 24, 25, 30, 50, and 60FPS modes, as well as 2K and full-HD capabilities, the latter of which can be shot at 120FPS — perfect for slow motion and post-stabilization. It features a 1/2.3” CMOS sensor, 140-minute battery life, and all of the intelligent DJI shooting modes you’ve come to expect from DJI, including FPV, ActiveTrack, 3×3 Panorama, Motion Lapse, and Nightshot.

Purchase: $349
