It’s difficult to think of a British motorcycle manufacturer that’s as storied as Norton, with a rich history in the two-wheeled world spanning all the way back to 1898. The brand has only continued to grow from its meager beginnings as a motorcycle parts manufacturer, and this year, they’re releasing one of the most well-designed dual-sport scramblers the market has ever seen.

The 2019 Atlas Ranger is a bike that was birthed from two of Norton’s most prominent motorcycles and pulls the best components and design principles from each. The 650cc DOHC parallel twin engine pumps out 84 horsepower with around 47 foot-pounds of torque, and sports twin electronic fuel injectors (per cylinder), a six-speed transmission, and a full drive-by-wire system. It utilizes a two-in-one exhaust system with a high-exit silencer, an inverted Roadholder 50mm fork allowing nearly 200mm of wheel travel, and a twin tube seamless EN 10305 CDS5 steel perimeter chassis that helps keep the bike as light as a feather at 392 pounds — perfect for dual sport use. Norton is accepting deposits now.

Purchase: $15,300
