In case it hasn’t yet become abundantly clear that electric power is the wave of the future when it comes to motor vehicles, we’ve got some more news for you. Husqvarna, the long-time powersports brand and motorcycle purveyor, have just thrown their hat in the ring with their first all-electric bike, called the EE 5.

Unfortunately, it’s not a full-sized bike. But that doesn’t mean that this mini dirt bike isn’t dripping with cool. Geared toward young and aspiring riders, this bad boy boasts a 6.7-horsepower electric motor mated to a 907 Wh Li-ion battery. That power plant is mated to a high-end chassis, performance WP suspension, and a pair of knobby tires. Set to come out in 2019, we can’t help but think this is a sign of things to come — and we anticipate hearing about a full-sized release in the near future. We don’t know about you, but we’re looking forward to it.
