The all-terrain arena is typically dominated by Polaris but Honda’s new menacing off-roader proves to be a contender. Honda certainly isn’t a rookie when it comes to building brutes to trample around the backcountry and their talon 1000X UTV is quite possibly one of their best models yet.

The UTV’s power plant is a 999cc liquid-cooled Unicam parallel twin engine capable of a whopping 104 hp. It has an automatic six-speed dual-clutch transmission matched with a hi-low sub-transmission. Although it’s an automatic, it does have paddle shifters to provide you with some control over the gearing. And, the front wheels of this off-roading beast are built in close proximity with a short independent double-wishbone suspension for amazing maneuverability no matter what terrain you’re tackling. If you’re looking to climb rocks and crush trails outdoors, the 1000X is the ride you should be sitting in.
