Bikes from the past certainly aren’t as powerful as the two-wheel monsters zipping through the streets today, but they have a certain captivating charm that draws us to them. The 1929 Husqvarna Model 30A Racer certainly caught our attention with its scrappy bare-bones racing aesthetic that will make it a notable addition to anyone’s custom motorcycle collection.

The rare 250cc Husqvarna racer is based on the company’s 1929-only Model 30A and houses a JAP OHV super sports engine with 11 horsepower. It has a J-series head with enclosed rocker arms and pushrods, allowing it to keep dirt out of the machinery and keep the oil inside the motor. Stripped-down for dirt racing in Europe, the Model 30A features an open frame with two top tubes, Druid-type forks wit side springs, and no front brake, since it wasn’t required for dirt-oval racing. Race history is written all over this vintage motorcycle with the leather bum pad and special Andre steering damper along with the abbreviated fenders and open pipe. The bike is part of the MC Collection of Stockholm, which consists of more than 400 motorcycles admired as contemporary works of art.
