Looking like a sci-fi soccer ball ready to revolve and shoot laser beams in every direction, this camera is actually the product of a collaboration between Facebook and professional-grade camera company RED. The Manifold 3D VR Camera is a revolutionary system created to enhance the storytelling experience.

This advanced camera was designed for Six Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) storytelling. The camera is equipped with 16 RED Helium 8K sensors with customized Schneider 180-degree fish-eye lenses, allowing for volumetric image capturing. This camera gives users with VR headsets the freedom to not only look around with a 360-degree view, but also look behind objects. The 60 fps camera captures complete VR video, including in-depth details for full scene immersion. Furthermore, the camera is powerful enough for Hollywood movies, allowing viewers to watch from inside the scenes. There’s no price point for this device yet, but if you want to own one, you’ll probably need a movie star’s bank account.
