It’s not unusual for craftsmen, designers, or even custom motorcycle builders to draw inspiration from pop culture for their work. It’s a little rarer, however, to see it done quite as masterfully as in the Ducati 999S ‘Noir’ by Vengine and custom helmet-building shop, Helmade.

In case you can’t tell from the sleek lines or neon colors, the styling of this bike was inspired directly by neo-noir sci-fi cinema — more specifically, the modern takes on Blade Runner and Ghost In The Shell. And while the bright colors contrasting with the carbon fiber body panels make for a great look, this is a sprint bike and, as such, was also built to perform. In fact, it can produce a whopping 136 horsepower, courtesy of performance upgrades like an exhaust system that includes Diavel pipes, an SC-Project can, and an Öhlins 1098S swingarm and shock. By all accounts, this badass bike is a neon street demon we’d love to ride.
