The mark of a great custom motorcycle shop isn’t found in showboating over-the-top builds — despite what the likes of some famous TV shops might have you think. Rather, it’s in the ability to consistently and tastefully create timeless works of automotive mastery. Case in point: Hookie Co’s ‘Black Swan’ 1981 Honda CB750.

As is the case with all this shop’s bikes, this build started off with a complete disassembly — so they could ensure that everything was 100% perfect. They then reduced the frame and cleaned it up before slapping on their new additions, like a modified gas tank, a Motogadget Motoscope tiny speedometer, tucked-away electrics, an RFID keyless start system, a sleek LED taillight, and a frankly gorgeous suede-like soft leather seat. Its supremely clean styling betrays the significant amount of work done to turn this bike into what you see before you, but that’s what makes it so drool-worthy: restraint and humility. Nice work yet again, Hookie.
