Hiking in the great outdoors can be a grueling experience, especially if you take a spill on rocky terrain and find that you’ve got a nasty cut. First aid kits aren’t equipped to handle cuts that need attention beyond a band-aid, which is why the ZipStitch bandage comes in handy.

With the non-invasive ZipStitch Laceration Kit, you can tend to medium-sized cuts in the backcountry where there isn’t an ER in sight. Made in America, the intuitive zip closures help you close minor lacerations in seconds without needles poking through your skin. The strong adhesive bandage can be tightened via four adjustable closures, making it easy to use. After you clean the wound, center the bandage on top of the cut, pull the tabs of the closures tight enough to close the cut, and then cut off the tabs to lock them in place. One ZipStitch can close a wound up to 1.5 inches long and an eighth of an inch wide. According to the ZipStitch, the bandage protects wounds eight times better than traditional stitches. Grab a few now to store in your first aid kit.
