Back in 2016, Christian Adel Michael and Julie Kronstrom found success with their innovative Mate foldable eBike. Staying hungry, they decided to challenge themselves and improve upon their invention, which resulted in the new Mate X eBike, an impressive upgrade of the original.

The Mate X Folding eBike houses a more powerful 750W motor with a superior 48V lithium-ion battery compared to the initial iteration, allowing it to reach 20mph with a range of 60 to 80 miles. In addition, the adventure-commuter bike was built with a Shimano 8-speed cassette to improve gear shifting, sturdy one-click foldable pedals for increased power transfer, a new Tektro braking system, and puncture-resistant fat tires. You can also customize the Mate X with a variety of features, such as a rear rack with built-in brake lights, aluminum fenders, and a hydraulic braking system. Just like the original commuter bicycle, the Mate X folds in three simple steps to a compact 78 cm high, 103 cm long, and 59 cm wide in only ten seconds. The frame is made of 100% forged 6061 aluminum alloy and comes in several colors, including Desert Storm, Subdued Black, and White Ice.

Indiegogo: $799+
