Jacob Witzling is a second-grade teacher with an awesome hobby: he crafts some of the worlds most beautiful cabins and wood structures. Though all of the buildings he has constructed are of staggering beauty, we’ve chosen to showcase one of Jacob Witzling’s cabins.

Jacob Witzling’s occupation, outside of being a teacher, is to build. His father was an architect and engineer, and someone who inspired his love for building structures. He remembers poring over a photography book of beautiful buildings and being enraptured. Rather than civil structures, though, Witzling decided to build structures off the beaten path. As a result of dedication and hard work, he has become the creator of some of the most marvelous cabins in the world. At the age of 22, he built his first cabin for just $800. It’s safe to say that the edifices he constructs today are worth a little bit more. Looking through his Instagram account, you can see the many awe-inspiring homes in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. Most of his cabins use reclaimed and local sources for his wood.
