The Shelby Cobras of the early 1960s remain some of the most beautiful and rarest cars of all time. This was the time that Shelby attained world-class status, winning the 24 Hours Of Le Mans in 1959 and coming close in subsequent years. Though not a true racing car, this 1963 Shelby Cobra Roadster in racing red is a beautiful connection to Shelby’s illustrious racing heritage.

This example, a CSX 2197 Roadster, has been immaculately preserved from that era. It has fewer than 10,000 miles on its odometer and remained relatively unused since it was involved in a minor accident several decades ago. Just the front outer panels from the door have been replaced; much of the rest of the car, including the doors, rear clip, footwells, and engine bay panel remain true to the original stock body built by Shelby. A beautiful car for a pretty penny.

Purchase: $925,000
