It has been called the “Holy Grail of Whisky.” Earlier this year, a bottle of it sold for a record-setting $1.1 million. Now, another example of the prized The Macallan Adami 1926 is up for auction, and many expect it to break the record for the second time in a year.

This is not a whisky for drinkers with cheap tastes. The whiskey was originally distilled in 1926, and aged in sherry casks for 60 years until it was bottled by Speyside Distillery in the 1990s. The bottles feature designs from pop artists Valerio Adami and Sir Peter Blake. In total, 24 bottles were produced. Twelve bottles featured labels designed by Adani, 12 by Blake. Though it’s one of just 12, and it has ben aged for over 60 years, those aren’t really the important numbers in this equation. That distinction belongs to 1.1 million, the price in USD for which the whisky bottle is expected to sell, hovering around a world record.

Purchase: $900,000+
