Along with Aston Martin DB5 and Porsche 356, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe is one of the most iconic and timeless sports cars from the 1950s. Though he never drove it, this 1955 300SL Gullwing Coupe is certainly worthy of a Bond-eque caper. If you’ve got the cash, you can take it on one.

Preserved in immaculate condition with just a hair under 60,000 miles on the odometer, this 1955 example of one of Mercedes’ most remarkable models is pristine. The Gullwings of the ’50s have a rich history in European racing, participating in the Mille Miglia followed by Le Mans (until 1955, when Mercedes’ involvement in a devastating fatal crash led them to step away from the circuit). Nearly unblemished, and with almost all original pieces – including a mostly original paint coat – this Mercedes is a rolling history exhibit, other than being a dazzling car.

Purchase: $1,125,000
