A street-legal supercar, the Ford GT is a carbon-fiber body 647-horsepower twin-turbo V6 asphalt-eating behemoth. For 2019, the American automaker is cooling the savage beast with Heritage Blue and Heritage Orange Gulf Oil livery to celebrate the golden age of auto racing and the 50th anniversary of their 1968 and ‘69 victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Additional options to the Heritage GT Edition include exposed carbon fiber inside and out, No.9 graphics on the hood and doors, carbon fiber A-pillars, silver rearview mirrors, blue and orange stitched seats, and single-piece 20” forged aluminum wheels with striking orange calipers. And if the most famous colors in auto racing aren’t special enough, each model will include a numbered plaque denoting it as a special edition model. As with every new Ford GT, potential buyers will need to apply for the right to own the car — Ford’s less than successful attempt to control the resale market.
