There’s no denying the clout that YETI has in the outdoor industry, especially with the recent release of their Panga line of duffel bags. So it’s safe to say that it takes some pretty big stones to go toe-to-toe with them. But that’s exactly what OtterBox has got, as they’ve just unveiled their own waterproof Yampa Dry Duffles.

Available in three sizes – 35, 70, and 105 liters – and built from TPU-coated nylon, these bags offer a lot of the same impressive features as YETI’s Panga line, including the ability to turn into a backpack and survive being completely submerged without getting anything inside wet. But they also have a major leg up: they feature an ultra-low density, open-celled foam in the walls of the bag that make it impact-resistant while remaining lightweight, as well. It’s a risky move to go up against a giant like YETI, but this move looks like it’s going to pay off. Pricing starts at $250.

Purchase: $250+
