One of the head honchos in the knife game is circling back to their finely designed Crooked River Family collection of folding hunting knives to add a little brother to the gang. Benchmade gives us the Mini Crooked River Knife, a pocket knife with a traditional, sleek design that has modern features to be efficient for any job.

Sure, it may look like an old school hunting knife that’s been passed down over the years, but it’s designed with aluminum bolsters, contour-stabilized ‘Dymondwood’ handles, high-vis hunter orange details in the G10 backspace and a pivot accent. Benchmade didn’t cut any corners, as usual, using premium CPM-S30V steel to construct the 3.4” blade, complementing the ambidextrous thumb stud manual-opening and ‘AXIS’ lock mechanism for smooth action. If you’re looking for a less tactical everyday hunting knife, this compact version of the original Crooked River knife, weighing in at only 3.3 oz, is a practical, smart option.

Purchase: $200
