Always reliable for coming up with nifty tech in the world of video games, 8BitDo delivers again, this time with their mod kits for classic gaming controllers. Let’s face it, nothing can mimic the familiar feeling of your original controllers and these do it yourself mod kits can level them up into wireless Bluetooth gamepads.

It’s so easy to set up that there’s no soldering needed, as all it requires is a screwdriver to remove the original PCB and replace it with the mod kit. 8BitDo designed a proprietary component that conveniently has a rechargeable battery, along with LED indicators to notify you of what mode your controller is in and its battery status. These mod kits are compatible with Windows, Android, macOS, Steam, Raspberry Pi and the Nintendo Switch. 8BitDo is now offering mod kits for the original SNES Classic Edition, original SNES, original NES Classic, original NES and the Sega Mega Drive controllers. Each one is just $20 a pop.

Purchase: $20
