X-Axis, a motorcycle custom shop based in the UK, has a certain affinity for Japanese motorcycles. Namely, Hondas; their portfolio is constituted by seven decked-out Honda projects, one of which is the stealthy Black Honda CX500, which X-Axis has brutalized in the best way.

The custom shop was founded by British motocross champion Billy MacKenzie. Naturally, MacKenzie has a penchant for speed. As a two time British MX1 Champion, for Factory Kawasaki and Honda teams, and a three time overall Gran Prix winner, Billy loved to push bikes to their utmost pace. But after retirement, he needed a new checkered flag to chase – and he found his thrill in customizing the bikes that had brought him much of his racing glory, Hondas. The Black Honda CX500 was Billy’s first foray into custom making motorcycles, and it’s still his favorite. He redesigned the bike’s rear end with aluminum to perfectly silhouette the original fuel tank, and added pressed-kangaroo leather to the seat – in respect to the site where this custom job came to fruition, Australia. Firestone Champion deluxe vintage tires give the bike its footing. This badass and minimalist build has a championship pedigree.
