Odds are if you’ve heard of George Dickel you’re also familiar with Tabasco sauce. So, to celebrate the heritage these two southern brands have in common a little collaboration was in order. Specifically speaking, some Tabasco barrel-finished whiskey – otherwise known as “Hot Dickel”.

In order to give the Tennessee whiskey that spicy finish, George Dickel lets their finished product rest for 30 days in ex-Tabasco barrels allowing the residual pepper mash to infuse a bit of spice and flavor into the whiskey. The result is a surprisingly smooth and spicy 70-proof whiskey that could serve as either a delicious base for a craft cocktail or celebratory hot shot for those livelier summer nights ahead. Available now.

Purchase: $25
