The trench run from Star Wars: A New Hope is one of the most iconic movie scenes of all time. But the special effects wizards at George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic didn’t know that when they were making it. As such, most of the set pieces ended up being destroyed or thrown away. That is, except for this one – which is now headed to auction at eBay.

Kept in storage for over 40 years and with a certificate of authenticity signed by Lorne Peterson and Johnathan Erland (two crewmen integral to the production of the Death Star set pieces), this is legitimately impressive real piece of film history. And no small one, either – as this chunk measures up at 23.75″ across by 11.75″ wide and 6.8″ tall at its highest point. Now’s your chance to own this extremely rare movie memorabilia from what may go down as the greatest sci-fi movie saga of all time. Just check back on the listing starting May 24th at 9pm eastern time to bid.
