By now we have a habit of paying close attention whenever New South Wales-based Young Henrys releases a fresh beer. This time, our diligence has paid off with the soon-to-be-released Motorcycle Oil, a full-bodied yet hoppy porter style ale.

Dubbed a “smooth, hoppy, black beer with mild bitterness roughly based on a hopped-up American porter” by the Young Henrys crew, a full picture of what this tasty beer offers comes into view for us stateside beer nerds. It was originally released back in 2017 but thanks to popular demand, the brewery is slated to begin distributing 500 ml tallboy cans on May 1st. It’s hopped with the likes of Citra, Cascade, Centennial and US Warrior hops – working to balance in inevitable motor oil mouthfeel this dark beverage is bound to feature – and slated for a limited release. Let’s just hope some makes its way here at some point.
