We take a lot of things for granted. Take the standard diameter of a 45lb plate for instance. Does it need to be that 17.7-inches? Or is it just an arbitrary measurement has been accepted as gospel without second thought? Rogue Fitness and powerlifting coach Mark Bell figured the latter was probably the case. That’s why they decided to break with tradition and develop the 26-inch Rogue Wagon Wheel Pair.

The plates are intended to lift the bar further off the ground – making it easier for tall athletes, and those with knee and lower back issues to preform deadlifts with good form. The wagon wheels are made right here in the U.S.A. from 3/8-inch laser cut steel, and feature a 1-inch thick lip. According to Bell and the team at Rogue Fitness, the 45lb plate will be ideal for those looking to work on their lockout, and others who are simply tired of setting up block pulls at the gym.
