As both the brand’s first-ever production model and one of the most beautiful cars of all time, the 356 is legendary, to say the least. And that means, when one pops up in halfway decent condition, it always catches our attention. But this particular example, a 1955 Porsche 356 1500 “Bent-Windshield” coupe, is more than just halfway decent – it’s practically perfect.

Following its U.S. delivery, this car was driven regularly for 13 years. But, in 1968, it was stashed away in a California barn, not to see the light of day again until it was rediscovered just a few years ago. Following that, it went through a thorough 2-year restoration to get it into the gorgeous condition you see before you – complete with a period-correct Palm Green paint job and beige interior. With only about 45,000 miles on the odometer at present, this holy grail sports car is headed to RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction, where it will likely go for a small fortune.
