Before Michael Jordan’s famed tenure with the Chicago Bulls, he was a star athlete playing for the North Carolina Tarheels – eventually taking them to a National Championship in 1982. Now, the very shoes worn by MJ during that historic season are up for auction.

Each shoe comes emblazoned with Jordan’s signature along with 1982 NCAA Championship written by Jordan on each midfoot. According to the auction house – Lelands – these are the earliest of Jordan’s shoes to ever hit the market. They’ve had three previous owners over the years with the laces serving as the only non-original article on the shoe. Currently, the bid is at $15k, but we expect that to continue rising over the auction ends in 19 days.

Purchase: $15,000+
