Electric cars have been blowing our minds since the Tesla Roadsters became the first highway legal electric cars to be made in serial production with lithium ion battery cells, a move that forever changed the way we view the wattage powered wheels. After most manufacturers have already opted in on the high voltage vehicles, a new player has entered the arena with what may be the fastest electric car ever made for the street, the Aspark Owl electric hypercar.

Developed to put the kibosh on Elon Musk’s ultra successful and super quick Tesla Model S, the Aspark Owl has blown its doors off the competition with a 1.921 second 0-60 time, shaving six tenths of a second off the already blistering pace set by Musk’s production vehicle. Unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2017, the Owl was expected to produce 430 hp, 463 lb•ft of torque at all four wheels, and barely making a dent on the scale at below 1,900-pounds, stats that on paper put this hypercar on a level of its own. At the expected $4.4-million price tag, you’re only looking at $733,333 for each tenth of a second you could be quicker than that Tesla driving neighbor of yours that thinks he’s so hot.
