If there is one thing that we demand from new model years, it has to be more power. Porsche has been hip to this knowledge and continually step up their game year after year, and 2018 is no different for the GT3 RS and its additional ponies.

Building off the proven rally sport version from last year, Porsche has a solid base of cup car experience to build their new GT3 RS on. For the new year, the GT3 RS is able to squeeze an additional 20 horsepower from its non-turbo power plant, topping out at a healthy 520 hp for the 4.0-Liter flat six cylinder engine, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated Porsche production vehicle ever. This added punch is enough to shave a tenth of a second off the already blistering 0-60 mph acceleration time, lowering the bar to 3.2 seconds for 2018. A host of additional aerodynamic tweaks are apparent from the leaked photos of the new model year, including body panels with NACA style air ducts for optimized breathability from tip to tail.
