In a perfect world, we believe that all PC gamers would be able to afford a state-of-the-art massive curved OLED gaming monitor. The truth of the matter, however, is that most folks have to settle for linking together two or three monitors to create a wide immersive screen. The biggest problem? The pesky bezels between screens is a pretty big eyesore. Luckily, the folks at Asus have just come up with a solution in their ROG Bezel-Free Kit.

This multi-monitor immersion kit works on a simple concept: camouflaging the space between screen edges. And it’s achieved through a clever bit of engineering. A dual clip is attached between monitors with a segment of PMMA (a transparent thermoplastic more durable than glass). This material allows 90% of the light from the monitors to bleed through and refracts the light to create an optical illusion that there isn’t actually a gap between the screens. That’s it – there’s no electronics, no batteries, nothing. It’s a remarkably easy fix for a very annoying problem. The device was revealed at this year’s CES show, but we hope to see it go into full production soon.
