When it comes to car performance engineering, few stand as tall as the folks at ROUSH, thanks both to their excellent aftermarket parts and – on all-too-rare occasions – their full-vehicle projects. And wouldn’t you know it, at this year’s SEMA show, they’ve unveiled another stellar concept car: the 2018 ROUSH 729 wide-body Ford Mustang.
Designed both to showcase the brand’s all-new Mustang body kit and as a tribute to the highly-lauded 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, this American Muscle car is a sight to behold with a commemorative Ford Grabber Green paint job and carbon fiber bits throughout. And it has the performance to back up its appearance, with a ROUSH supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 capable of producing over 700 horsepower. It’s also air-cooled thanks to the brand’s “Air Gobbler” ram air induction system and Cold Air intake, complemented by an Active Quad-Tip Exhaust system at the tail end. Unfortunately, this badass American Muscle monster is just a concept… for now.
