2018 Lexus LS 500

It should come as no surprise that after an extensive five-year redesign we’re in a bit of an awe at the first images of the 2018 Lexus LS 500. For some time now the luxury brand from Toyota has dished out reliable and form fitting vehicles that prove themselves both on the asphalt and inside the cabin. And with the release of this luxury sedan, they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

With the LS now in its fifth generation, there were some foundational elements of the ride Lexus designers wanted to keep intact. The spindle grill, for instance, is one such element. However, upgrades were made where it counted this go-around. How about an all-new 3.5-liter twin turbo V-6 that still manages to push out 415 horses and 442 ft-lbs of torque? The LS also can hit 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, is matched with a 10-speed auto transmission, and sits lower overall than previous versions. The interior also features Shimamoku-inspired wood patterns and seating that comes with a Shiatsu massaging option along with a raised ottoman in the rear. Slated for release this fall. No word on pricing just yet.
