Too often do we see car companies compromising luxury for performance or vice versa. We, however, are firm believers that both can exist in the same vehicle. And it seems that Jaguar agrees, as they’ve just announced their XJR575: a luxury sedan with near-supercar performance specs.
First, let’s talk numbers. This 4-door is equipped with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that is capable of doing 0-62 in just 4.4 seconds and producing a whopping 516 foot-pounds of torque. It also has a top speed of 186 miles per hour – which it reaches in only 44 seconds. And that’s encompassed in a slick package that includes 20-inch gloss black Farallon wheels, bespoke tread plates, and diamond-quilted seating. We think it’s fair to say that Jag’s new performance flagship is nothing shy of marvelous.
