For all of those speed demons out there, we have news for you. There is a new car you should scan the road for before you go howling down the freeway, the 2018 Ford F-150 Police Responder.
While this isn’t the first F-150 police vehicle ever made, this is the first pickup truck ever given a pursuit rating. The intercepter has been optimized to travel at high speeds for extended periods of time without any mechanical issues like an overheated engine or poor braking. The Intercepter boasts a twin turbocharged EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 that turns out 375 horses and 470 pound feet of torque through a 10 speed automatic transmission. More than just fast, the vehicle comes stock with a special set of off-road tuned shocks, an anti-roll bar, and skid plates for any off-road adventuring. All we can say is we hope we don’t end up with these in our rear-view.
