2018 Dodge Durango SRT
Here’s what happens when a petrolhead decides to overhaul a soccer-mom van; a continuation of Dodge’s methodology as of late in making everything as powerful as possible. It’s the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT, here to provide mom with some serious horsepower under her feet. Did someone say Hemi?
What’s amazing about the new iteration of the Durango is the sheer power this thing hosts. We’re talking a 6.4 liter Hemi V8 that packs 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to get a car full of seven (yes it is a seven seater) from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. It includes a TorqueFlight eight-speed transmission, tows up to 8,600 pounds with a trailer and boasts a quarter-mile time of only 12.9 seconds. Visually, the new Durango host new air ducts in the hood to keep the Hemi cool, a new front fascia, air vents, and LED fog lamps. The ride also looks meaner with a re-designed grille boasting a mesh pattern and the body’s looking good with wider wheel flares as well. The suspension is also stiffer and it comes with a set of Brembo brakes, Pirelli tires, and seven driving modes catering to different driving and road conditions. Way to go Dodge.
