It’s no surprise to auto makers that a lot of their customers opt to style their new rides with simple customization tweaks that help align the stock vehicle aesthetic to their individual style as the market for minor mods continues to increase. This year, Chevrolet is firing back with a various special specs that address the need for unique touches to the mass produced vehicle lines they offer, and the 2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition is the SUV for those looking to add a little extra black to their life.
Based on the LS trim package of the standard 2018 Tahoe, the first departure for this limited ‘custom’ spec unit comes as the removal of the third row of seating, opening up the SUV to 112 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Equipped with either 2WD or 4WD, off-road design cues come in the form of 18-inch black painted wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, tubular steel rock rails, and blacked out trim throughout. Under the hood you’ll find a 5.8-Liter V8 capable of 355 hp and 383 lb•ft of torque, making easy work of its 6,600-pound towing capacity. For those that must ride in ultra dark styling, the Chevy Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition is as black on black on black as it gets.
