If you like off-roading and you don’t know Can-Am – well, then you probably don’t really like off-roading. Because this giant has been making amazing dirt-devouring vehicles for quite a long time. And they’re still going strong, as evidenced by their new 2018 Maverick X3 X RS Turbo R dune buggy.

One of their most blisteringly quick offerings to date, this side-by-side is loaded with a turbocharged and intercooled Rotax ACE engine capable of pumping out 172 horsepower and producing 124 foot-pounds of torque. The beefy engine is fed by three oversized air intakes that keep it cool no matter how hard you push her. And the ultralight 980 steel chassis will keep you safe in the unlikely event that you topple. It also features an upgraded BRP four-link TTX suspension with 24-inches of travel that makes big whoops feel like little more than gravel in the road, fully-adjustable state-of-the-art Fox shocks, and 14-inch aluminum beadlock wheels mated to beefy 30-inch Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 six-ply tires. This angry little dirt devil starts at $26,899.
