Guess who’s back with a brand new hatch. It’s Audi, which just debuted a dazzling new hatchback, their second generation A1 Sportback. When it careened onto the auto scene in 2010, the Sportback was a head-turner. This summer, stay on a swivel; with an updated, audacious design, the 2018 Audi A1 Sportback is guaranteed to be a neck-snapper.

Designed to double as a civilized urban cruiser and a road-trip renegade, the Sportback is luxury and performance contained in a sporty design. New upgrades enhance the interior and exterior from those of its ancestral model. The second generation A1 boastz integrated infotainment and driver assistance systems that equal those inside its larger-sized Audi siblings. A driver-centric interior comes highly customizable and comfortable. The upgraded external design is distinctly cool, with its low single-frame grille, implied air inlets, and the unique addition of three slots along the hood, an homage to Audi’s 1984 Sport Quattro. What makes this hatchback so fun, though, is its sportier, tighter suspension and powerful engine, which can be selected within an output range of 70 kW (95 hp) to 147 kW (200 hp).
