Released as the first expression in the newest upcoming series from Johnnie Walker, dubbed Ghost and Rare, this collaborative blend features iconic whiskies from “ghost” distilleries that have since closed as well as select rare malt and grain scotch from existing distilleries.

Elegantly captured within this fine release are three ghost whiskies from the silent distilleries of Cambus, Pittyvaich, and Brora – which lies at the heart of the variant. What results is a light peatiness and soft sweetness that makes this release forgiving and smooth on the palate. The additional five whiskies featured in this blend are some rare expressions from the likes of existing distilleries Royal Lochnagar, Clynelish, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie, and Cameronbridge offering added notes of sweet pineapple, hazelnut, dark chocolate, and subtle smoke. It’s all crafted by Johnnie Walker’s very own Master Distiller Jim Beveridge and is available now through select vendors. Each bottle retails for $399.

Purchase: $399
