Outfitted as the first high-performance SUV the world had ever seen, Lamborghini’s LM002, otherwise known as the “Rambo Lambo,” was a truly revolutionary idea for the market. The Italian manufacturer based it on the Cheetah, but instead outfitted the ride with a luxurious wood and leather interior along with the Countach V-12 engine – a power plant previously unheard of for SUVs.

Lamborghini built 301 examples of the LM002 during its production years (1986-1993) with only 48 built with the LM/American specifications to be delivered to the United States. This is one of those 48, now complete with a five-year mechanical and cosmetic restoration in its original color. No aspect was left untouched either, including the Countach V12 that propels this ride to 60 mph in just 7.7 seconds. It’s also now outfitted with a new exhaust, new interior with an Alpine stereo head unit with integrated Bluetooth, a new set of Pirelli Scorpion tires, a rare rear cargo toolbox, LM/A floor mats, and LM/A chrome bumpers. Recently sold, this iconic and historical beauty managed to fetch $467,000 at auction in New York.
