It could be argued that the Ford GT40 was the original supercar. But, whatever way you spin it, it is inexorably tied to the history and progress of performance vehicles as a whole. The GT retains much of that original vehicle’s signature styling, but in a bigger, badder, more powerful modern format – building on the excellence of its predecessor. They are, however, quite rare. Which is why it’s so exciting that this example is headed to auction.

Painted in the classic white and blue Ford livery, this practically untouched 2006 model year Ford supercar has only 10 miles on the odometer – making it the closest thing to brand-new you may ever see. In fact, the seats are still wrapped in protective plastic, all of the original books and documentation are accounted for, and there’s even still a tag on the shifter. While it might seem sad that this beast has spent no time being unleashed, the state of it is a huge boon for whoever can afford the expected $300,000-$350,000 price tag when it hits the auction block at RM Sotheby’s Fort Lauderdale auction next year.

Purchase: $300,000+
