Sometimes keeping up with the Jones’ is a full time job, and for Ares Design of Modena life is especially tough with neighbors like Ferrari and Lamborghini just down the street. For the relatively young Italian coachbuilder to gain notoriety, Ares has decided to take a different approach and use their adversaries offerings as the base of their model line, as done with their latest Project Panther.

Building off the tremendously successful Lamborghini Huracán chassis and V10 power plant, Ares’ first entry into the supercar market draws its silhouette from the legendary De Tomaso Pantera. A sleek wedge shaped front end with pop-up headlights, louvered grills on the C-pillars, and a horizontally flat engine cover harken back to the glory days of mid engine Italian sports cars. With production and testing full swing you can expect to get your hands on the wheel of this bespoke automobile latter half of 2018.
